Mayfield High students’ photo creations gallery (5 photos) MAYFIELD, Ohio — Ten Mayfield High School students with physical and cognitive disabilities will show off their photography skills during an exhibition in Little Italy later this month.

The exhibit, “Speaking in Pictures,” will be at Serafino Gallery, 11917 Mayfield Road, Little Italy. The exhibit runs Thursday, March 24 through Sunday, April 3. Opening reception is 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 24.

The project helps to promote community involvement and give the students real world, age-appropriate lessons in science, math, English, reading, social studies, art and independent living skills, said their teacher Tim Averre. Funding for the digital cameras came from a Business Alliance grant and Academic Boosters.

All of the profit from sales will go back into the photography program and help buy equipment to continue the program, Averre said.

For more about the exhibit, call the gallery at 440-773-0200.
